In this latest clip Joe talks about being aware of the habits you may be forming with your horse.
“Don’t make too big of a deal out of any of this. It’s just about becoming aware of what’s taking place.” - JW Getting Ready to Ride
Be aware of the little things on the ground before you get on. Listen to the rhythm, watch the movement, study the whole horse and try to imagine what it will feel like when you're in the saddle.
A student in the UK recently asked Joe for help overcoming the habit of riding with his legs braced. It got Joe thinking about a bay mare that taught him just how much the rider’s legs matter to the horse.
